Where Chukchansi Park Is

Chukchansi Park sits in downtown Fresno, near Highways 99, 180 and 41. The stadium opened to the public on May 1, 2002, and its stated capacity is 10,650, excluding hospitality areas and standing room.

The Fresno Grizzlies play baseball here, and the venue also hosts concerts, high-school sporting events and community events throughout the year. Because the park is in downtown Fresno, the Downtown Fresno guide to sights and getting around puts its location in context.

Tickets and Event Schedules

Tickets and Event Schedules

Event schedules and ticket details depend on the event, so use the Fresno Grizzlies’ events-at-the-ballpark page to find current listings. Event hours vary. For a Grizzlies game, gates usually open one hour before game time; season-ticket holders may enter one hour and 15 minutes before, and gates may open earlier in some cases to manage crowds.

Grizzlies ticket options include single-game, 9-game, 12-game and 18-game tickets, half-season and full-season plans, group tickets, Kodiak Club and Flooring Liquidators Dugout Club. The Fresno Grizzlies Ticket Office is adjacent to H Street at 1800 Tulare Street. Its hours vary by game and event, and it is closed on Saturdays and Sundays when there is no game.

For general entry, the clear-bag policy permits see-through bags no larger than 16 × 16 × 8 inches and small clutches no larger than 8 × 5 inches. Medical items and diaper bags are exceptions, and all bags are subject to search. You need to buy an additional ticket to leave and re-enter the park.

How do you get to Chukchansi Park, and where can you park?

How do you get to Chukchansi Park, and where can you park?

Driving directions vary by approach. The venue’s directions give these routes:

  • From Highway 99 north: Take the Ventura exit, turn right on Ventura to Van Ness, turn left on Van Ness, then turn left on Inyo or Tulare.
  • From Highway 41 north: Take the Van Ness exit toward downtown, turn left on Van Ness, then turn left onto Inyo or Tulare.
  • From Highway 99 south: Take the Fresno Street exit, turn left on Fresno Street, then right on Broadway to H Street.

For Grizzlies baseball games, parking in Fresno Grizzlies-managed lots costs $10 per vehicle; special-event prices may vary. City-operated lots and garages near the Convention Center and Chukchansi Park have event rates from $7 to $50, approved in advance by the City of Fresno.

On event nights, city parking meters are enforced until 10:00 p.m.; check each meter head for the applicable rate and extended enforcement.

If you are arriving by train, the venue’s directions say to take Amtrak San Joaquins from the Fresno station, then Santa Fe Avenue to Inyo Street and continue on Inyo to the park. Chukchansi Park’s downtown location makes local transit and driving connections relevant; the guide to getting around Fresno covers those options.

What to Check Before Event Day

What to Check Before Event Day

Check the event’s schedule and entry details before you leave, since hours vary by event and gate times can change to manage crowds. Tailgating is not allowed in parking lots around the park. Pets are not permitted except at designated Bark in the Park events; ADA-defined service animals are allowed.

Smoking is allowed only at Gate 7 behind Section 109, also called Tulare Plaza. The venue says it meets or exceeds ADA requirements: Gate 2 on H Street has an access ramp, all other gates are accessible, and elevators serve the Club and Suite levels and the Dugout Club for guests with the appropriate tickets.

Before you go: Event schedules, prices and venue policies can change, so check the official site before you go.
